the traffic education service are together making the "SEGA DRIVING
SIMULATOR" which is being developed for Japanese driving schools.
The simulator has been a joint effort between Sega, Japanese driving schools
and the government.
Designing the machine they have taken car to take into account all the
needs of the driving schools, who have been giving feedback to them, including
the need for correct feedback from the machine.
Up until now the force feedback has just not been good enough to learn
to drive outside of a car, but with Sega's new technology they can accuratly
reproduce feedback through the wheel and machine to simulate every instance,
including ABS working, skidding and general driving conditions.
The machine will be able to grade you on how you drive in general and
report on your driving, and more software packages and upgrades will be
available in the form of more GD-Roms.
It will be made in limited numbers to see if there is enough interest
from driving schools and whether it actually teachs people to drive or
